My friends and I camped up on Haleakala to be sure we didn't miss the sunrise. It was amazing. If you go up make sure you have a ton of blankets, layers on layers of clothes and crunchy apples to munch on while the sun comes up. It gets mighty cold up there so be prepared! It is a beautiful view and the Jacaranda tress are in full bloom.

Lovely pics! Great fun - a good sunrise and sunset can be quite magical.
Still one of my biggest regrets, not seeing a sunset from the top of Haleakala :( Pics look great!
