wow! Slalom is so perfect for summer time. I was trying out a board a friend lent to me for the upcoming Maui Race Series. The wind filled in a little later today than usual but when it did it was perfect conditions to practice on the slalom board. I just wanted to keep going and going and cross the channel to the next island!..hahah.. maybe one day! If not slalom on these summer flat water days, its always fun to watch your friends doing freestyle tricks or just cruising enjoying the sights.
Today was a long day at kanaha but super fun and full of adrenline. Neilpryde slalom was the first of the five contests that will be held this summer. It was my first time competeing in this discipline. I actually enojoyed it more than I thought I would. I also surprised myself by finishing 1st in the waveboard division and 2nd in the Womens division. I am excited for the next event and can't wait to practice a little more on a slalom board.
